Hello everyone and welcome back to the second Weekly Report! I know the one from last week was pretty lengthy so I'll try to do this one a little shorter. I do have big news though! The first ever episode of the Sp00kySkeletons podcast has just been released! You can find it here:

With that out of the way, let's jump right into our topic of the week.
Attack Value Rating

Alright so today we're going to talk about how you can judge how well you are doing offensively. You hear a lot about how to benchmark how well your defenses are doing. I talk about monitoring defenses with a war weight calculator, you hear about how to be a TH9.5 or 8.5, but other than telling yourself it's good to max your offenses there's not much discussion about it.
So what can you do? Well I have made an Attack Value Rating Calculator where you can plug in your offenses and it gives you an Attack Value Rating or AVR for short. But what does it actually do? The AVR Calculator is a theory tool that isn't based on DPS or upgrade costs or anything else like that. It works by creating a value for each troop, spell, and hero, depending on your town hall level, and allows you to better judge how your offenses are doing and prioritize what needs to be upgraded. So what does your score look like? Here's how the scale works.
Attack Value Rating
Max TH11: 11.99
Max TH10: 10.99
Max TH9: 9.99
Max TH8: 8.99
Max TH7: 7.99
The values for each item (troops, heroes, and spells) are derived by looking at how responsible they each are for achieving the best chance at a three star. This isn't to say that a 10.99 should always be able to 3 star enemy TH10's, just that you have the best possible chance. For example, top competitive war clans report an approximate 15% rate of 3 stars for TH10's. So theoretically, if you're a 10.99 facing a defensively maxed TH10 you should have about a 15% chance of a 3 star. Of course, that number is just an estimate so don't focus on that. What you should focus on is how you can improve your AVR the fastest by prioritizing your upgrades. It's very similar to my War Weight Calculator in that it is designed so that you first input all your troops, spells, and heroes, and then you change some values to consider different possible upgrades. By playing around with some of the numbers you can make a more informed decision, which can really speed up your war capability progression.
The calculator does assume that you have max army camp space and full spell slots for your town hall level. It does not assume that you actually have all the spells or troops or heroes. If you don't have something, just put a 0, otherwise simply type in the level of everything you do have and you'll get your value!
If you're interested in how the calculator works or what the numbers are you can check out the Breakdown tab for the full tables of values. As always, let me know if you have any questions.
